Kiss from a Rose is an R&B pop song by English singer-songwriter Seal, from his 1994 second eponymous album. It was written by Seal and produced by Trevor Horn.
The song was initially released as a single in July 1994, and then re-released in 1995 as the soundtrack of the movie Batman Forever.
In the US, the single was at the number-one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 and three steps lower at number four (4) on the UK Singles chart. The single also topped charts in Australia.
In terms of covers and samples, this song has had tons of them by various artists. It has had its fair share of TV appearances too.
