Good Time is another synth-pop song by American electronica project Owl City and Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen. It was written by Adam Young (also the producer), Brian Lee and Matthew Thiessen.
The track was released as the lead single from Owl City‘s 2012 album The Midsummer Station and was used as the second single from Jepsen’s second studio album, Kiss.
After its release, the song was internationally successful and was praised by contemporary music critics, who described it as a “summer anthem”.
Good Time peaked at numbers 8 and 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles chart respectively, while topping the chart in Canada, South Korea, New Zealand and Belgium. It has also been certified 5x platinum in Australia and 2x platinum in the US and New Zealand.
