Bleeding Love is an R&B pop song by British singer Leona Lewis, taken from her 2007 debut studio album, Spirit.

OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder produced and co-wrote it with Jesse McCartney.

On October 19, 2007, the song was released as the album’s lead single and debuted at Number 1 on both the UK Singles Chart and the Irish Singles Chart

In the US, it topped the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, Adult Top 40 and Mainstream Top 40. The single also reached the top of the charts in 33 other countries, becoming the best-selling single of 2007 in most of them.

This song was the second song in history to achieve this feat, the first being Elton John‘s Candle in the Wind 1997.

It also received numerous nominations and has broken a substantial amount of records over the years.
