Whistle is a pop rap song by American rapper Flo Rida, from his 2012 fourth studio album Wild Ones.
Flo Rida co-wrote the song with a host of Marcus Killian, Antonio Mobley, Breyan Isaac and the producers, DJ Frank E and David Glass.
Just like Maroon 5‘s Moves Like Jagger, this song features a dominant “whistle” presence in its instrumentals.
Atlantic Records released the track on April 24, 2012 as the third single from the album, receiving mostly mixed reviews from music critics.
The single peaked at Number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (Flo Rida’s third), in the UK and 17 other countries including Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
It has been certified 7x platinum in Australia, 5x platinum in Sweden and Canada; and multiple platinum in various other countries.
