The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough is a 1985 synthpop song by American singer Cyndi Lauper, released as a single for the motion picture The Goonies.

It was included in her 2003 second compilation The Essential Cyndi Lauper.

Lauper wrote the song with Stephen Broughton Lunt and Arthur Stead, and handled the production with Lennie Petze.

It was released on June 5, 1985, becoming Lauper’s fifth top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100. The song reached Number 5 in France and Canada while topping the Japanese charts.

Tidbit: Lauper said she hated the song, which was why she had chosen not to include it on her first compilation.
