Try a Little Tenderness is a song which was penned by Harry M. Woods, Jimmy Campbell and Reg Connelly.
The Ray Noble Orchestra were the first to record the piece on December 8, 1932, with Val Rosing as lead singer. American singer cum actor Bing Crosby also recorded it in 1933
In 1966, American singer-songwriter Otis Redding recorded a soul version of the song with instrumental R&B/funk band, Booker T. & the M.G.’s. It was housed on his fifth studio album, Complete & Unbelievable: The Otis Redding Dictionary of Soul.
His version was very popular, reaching Number 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It has also been opined by many music pundits to be one of greatest songs of all time.
