Aretha Franklin - I Say a Little Prayer

I Say a Little Prayer is a song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and originally performed in 1967 by American singer cum actress Dionne Warwick.

The following year, it became a Top Ten hit on the US Pop & R&B charts when singer-songwriter Aretha Franklin recorded her version for her 1968 fifteenth studio album Aretha Now.

Her version was produced by frequent collaborator Jerry Wexler.

In February 1987, I Say a Little Prayer appeared at Number 1 on New Musical Express’ Critics’ Top 150 Singles of all Time as well as topping charts all over Europe.
