(Everything I Do) I Do It for You is a soft rock song by Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer and guitarist Bryan Adams, which was originally recorded for the soundtrack of the 1991 motion picture Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves; but was also housed on Adams’ sixth (6th) studio album Waking Up the Neighbours, released also in 1991.
After its release, this song literally shattered the charts worldwide. Yea, you heard right. (Everything I Do) I Do It for You reached number one (1) on every chart in every country.
Having sold in excess of 15 million copies globally and being certified 3x platinum in the US and UK, the song is Adam’s most successful to date and appears at number thirteen (13) on the list of best-selling singles of all-time.
Guys, we cannot honestly keep a count on all the array of singers who have covered this song, but we love American singer Brandy’s 1999 cover.
