The song, written by Chapman, happens to be her biggest US hit to date, peaking at Number 3 on the Hot 100 while topping the Adult Top 40. It also top the chart in Canada.
Furthermore, in 1997, Give Me One Reason earned Chapman the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song at the 39th Grammy Awards and has been certified platinum in the US as well as in Australia.
