The Little Drummer Boy (originally called Carol of the Drum) is a popular Christmas song written in 1941 by the American classical music composer Katherine Kennicott Davis.
The song has since been covered by numerous artists of which include American A cappella group Pentatonix and Boney M.
The group’s version of the song was housed on the deluxe edition re-release of their first EP, PTX, Volume 1, released on November 19, 2013. Their version charted in several Billboard categories and received a number of Billboard awards as well.
