The song peaked at number five (5) on the US Billboard Hot 100, at number thirty-one (31) on the UK Singles Chart and eventually reached number one (1) on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
The Sweetest Taboo is considered to be the Sade’s signature song.
