Lollipop is a hip hop song by American hip hop artist Lil Wayne, from his sixth (6th) studio album, Tha Carter III. The song features singer Static Major posthumously.
It was written by Wayne and an array of Static Major, Jim Jonsin, Darius Harrison and Rex Zamor; and produced by Deezle and Jim Jonsin. The track was released as the album’s first single on March 13, 2008 –sixteen (16) days after the death of Static Major.
Lollipop attained colossal commercial success, peaking at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. It remains Weezy’s biggest hit and has been certified 5x platinum in the US by the RIAA.
