Lamboginny - KiriKiri Don Full (Prod. By STO)
In a continuous effort to advocate for prison decongestion in Nigeria, Africa and Across the world. Nigerian Musician/Global Prison Ambassador Lamboginny has released a new tune – “Kirikiri Don Full“.
The song pleads with the Presidency and Judiciary system to look into the prison situation in Nigeria. It focuses mainly on the challenges that awaiting trial inmates are facing due to negligence from the judiciary system and prosecutors. Over 70% of prison inmates in Nigeria have been awaiting trials for years. Some inmates can’t afford a lawyer, while some can’t find their case files to make court appearances, and while some have no lawyers, those with lawyers keep getting their cases adjoined by the judiciary.
The capacity of the prisons are stretched beyond boundaries leaving inmates to sleep like packed Saden fishes in a can. Today we have between 3000 to 4000 prison inmates inside a facility originally built to house 800 inmates which is so appalling.
Kirikiri Don Full means that one of the major prisons in Nigeria, “Kirikiri Prison” is overpopulated. The song is produced by STO for Lamboginny Music World.
